FAQs

Things you need to know

Why register?
We ask organisations to register so that we can send a Loud Shirt Day information pack - containing a banking bag, stickers, ideas to make your Loud Shirt Day bigger and brighter than ever, plus details on how your donation helps deaf children around the country.

What happens to my details?
Your details are stored on a secure website and we do not share your details with any other party. We do keep your details on the database so that each year we can contact you to check if you still want to take part in Loud Shirt Day for that coming year.

Where does my donation go?
Money raised for Loud Shirt Day helps deaf and hearing-impaired children around the country to get the therapy they need to listen and speak like hearing kids. The aim is for deaf children to focus on their abilities not their disability; both charities want deaf kids to be able to maximise their potential - so your donation helps deaf and hearing-impaired kids have a better future.

When will I get my pack?
We start sending out information packs in late July so the earlier you register the earlier you will get your pack. This year we have reintroduced our shirt-shaped collection boxes due to popular demand. These are ideal to put on the reception desk at your work or, if you're in a retail outlet, on the counter to encourage more people to donate and help deaf children.

What if I need more stickers or posters?

How do I make my donation?
It's very simple. Just click on the Donate button and you can make an automatic donation via our secure website. Or post a cheque to
The Hearing House, PO Box 74022, Greenlane 1546, Auckland or use the banking bag found in your Loud Shirt Day pack and drop it into any ASB Branch around the country. We'll send you a receipt once we've received the donation.
